Sweetooth Couture is designed by Rachel Kacenjar, a 28 year old designer, seamstress, and pattern maker from Cleveland, Ohio. Designing since her teen years, Rachel learned how to sew from her maternal grandmother and has honed her pattern-making skills by taking classes at Stitch Cleveland (www.stitchcleveland.com) from esteemed pattern maker, Megan Engelmann.
Rachel got into the plus size clothing business in 2006 when she opened a vintage resale, alterations, & custom design shop for sizes 14-26 called Cupcake & Cuddlebunny. Sweetooth Couture was born in 2009 out of a demand for fun, modern, couture-leaning party dresses and glamour-wear in larger sizes. Sweetooth offers cutting edge, comfortable, and affordable designs in sizes 14-28, and Rachel will make custom sizes going up to a 6x.
